KILZ Chalk Spray Paint is a revolutionary product that combines both paint and primer into one convenient formula, perfect for upcycling furniture. The spray paint features an ultra matte finish, enhanced adhesion, and quick-dry technology, making it ideal for a variety of surfaces such as wood, metal, plastics, cast stone, wicker, and more. It is perfect for small indoor or outdoor projects and intricate details.

For a more enhanced look, the sprayed surfaces can be further treated with KILZ Clear or Dark Sealing Wax. The comfort tip ensures reduced finger fatigue during application. It offers a coverage rate of 12 sq. ft. per can, with the actual coverage depending on the surface texture, porosity, and application method. It is recommended to apply multiple thin coats to prevent dripping and sagging, allowing each coat to dry before reapplying.

Before applying KILZ Chalk Spray Paint, ensure that your project surface is clean, free of dust, grease, wax, peeling paint, mold, and mildew. If washing is needed, use a non-soapy detergent or a TSP substitute, rinse well, and allow to dry. Scrape off loose paint and sand the surface to a smooth finish. For optimal adhesion, consider using a primer such as KILZ ORIGINAL oil-based Primer/Sealer/Stainblocker or KILZ Premium water-based Primer/Sealer/Stainblocker on difficult surfaces.

To achieve the best results, apply the spray paint when surface, air, and product temperatures are between 50°-90°F and avoid painting in direct sunlight. Adequate ventilation is essential when spraying indoors, and surrounding areas should be covered to prevent overspray. The product dries to touch in 15 minutes and can be recoated after 45 minutes, although temperature and humidity can affect drying time and final appearance. Shake the can vigorously for 1 minute before use and continue shaking periodically during application.
